Fake Tan First Impressions

Hello everyone! I hope you are having a lovely day! Firstly I would like to apologise for posting this post one day late. I have been really busy lately with exams and I have literally had no free time! However nearly all of my exams are over now so I should be back on track with blogging!

Anyway, today I am going to be talking to you about my fake tan first impressions. I have never fake tanned before but because it is now getting hotter and I am starting to show more leg ;) I thought I might as well give it a go!
Enjoy!

So I have had my eye on the hoola zero tan lines all over body bronzer for quite a while so I decided to buy it. I have also heard that it is good if you exfoliate your legs before tanning so I decided to pick up a limited edition blueberry scrub from the body shop.

This blueberry scrub is so lovely. It does smell fruity but it doesn't really remind me of blueberries. I suppose it smells like them a bit but to me it really smells like cherry bakewell tarts.Whatever it smells like, it smells good! It has seeds in it which help to gently exfoliate your skin and it leaves you feeling so soft and smooth! I absolutely love it!

So to actually tan myself, like I said earlier, I used the Hoola zero tan lines body bronzer. I think this is incredible! It doesn't smell like the typical cheesy, soapy and unpleasant fake tan smell but instead it smells nice and fruity which I definitely wasn't expecting. Also the whole point of this product is to get a natural tan with zero tan lines and I agree with both of those things. It leaves you with a subtle bronze and there are no tan lines to be seen.I've also heard that for people with darker skin, it leaves you with a nice glow!
The difference the tan made
(Excuse my sausage legs)

The fake tan has a little lid that is supposed to look like a hoola skirt and in the lid there is a sponge you can pull out. I think the sponge is a great way of applying the tan. The tan itself is a very thick, dark Brown and sort of sticky formula but once it is buffed into the skin it is soft and not sticky at all.

I think that I would definitely give both of these products a 10/10 and I can't wait for the weather to make up its mind and be sunny so I can parade my beautifully tanned legs around! :)

I hope you enjoyed this post! Thank you!

  3. Although I don't need a tan, I think this is a great product. The color's very subtle, so it looks quite natural on you. :)

  12. Hi, This might be a silly question but is this a shower removal tan, or does it just fade naturally? And I really liked this post, and so does my pug Layla as she couldn't stop sniffing it! Great post! Xxx

  17. I'm not a massive fan take fan! I normally stick to gradual tanners and instant tans that wash off. But I really would love to try the Hoola one since I love the bronzing powder so much xx

  23. I've never fake tanned before, and don't plan to in the near future, but this product looks great for a subtle glow, especially for fake tan beginners! I had a sniff of the Blueberry scrub the other day, and I have to agree - it doesn't smell like blueberries at all.
