Lip gloss review

My two favourite Tanya Burr lip glosses

Hello everyone! I hope you are all having a lovely day! I love Tanya burr's lipgloss range especially my two favourite colours - picnic in the park and champagne toast.
I love them so much that I've decided to do a review on them so I hope you enjoy!

Here are my favourite glosses-
Champagne toast and picnic in the park

Here are the swatches-

Champagne toast-
The first lipgloss is Champagne toast which is a very subtle pink. It is actually nearly transparent but it creates a lovely sheen on your lips with a hint of pink. I'm not really sure why it is called champagne toast because it is more pink than gold but the name is still cute! This lipstick is also nice to put over matte lipsticks to make them well...not matte. A great addition to anyone's makeup collection!

Picnic in the park-
Picnic in the park is also a pink toned lipgloss but it is a lot brighter than champagne toast. It is very summery and girly and it would be the perfect lip gloss to wear to a picnic in the park. It looks very pretty on the lips and the formula and consistency of these lipglosses are very nice. They are very moisturizing and have a very subtle and fresh smell like watermelon.yum!

If you haven't got any Tanya burr lipglosses I would definitely recommend that you buy one. The colours range from nearly transparent to dark browney red! They have a shade for eveyone!

Hope you enjoyed this post!

See you soon

DIY Acne clearing mask

How to make a simple mask to help clear blackheads and acne

Hi guys! I hope all of you had a wonderful Christmas! As you probably gathered in today's post I will be showing you how to make an acne clearing mask with just 3 simple ingredients that you can easily get hold of in your house or in your local supermarket. During winter I like a nice bath and when I have a bath I like to wear a facemask. Instead of buying a face mask I decided to make one. I remember seeing this mask on pinterest so I looked it up, made it and was delighted by the results it had on my skin. It reduced the size of my pores and cleared away some of my spots. I can't promise you that it will have the same affect on your skin as it did on mine but hopefully it will make a bit of a difference. And just to make sure if this mask irritates your skin please discontinue to use it! Enjoy!

Ok so the 3 ingredients that you need to make this mask are -

4 tablespoons of honey

2 teaspoons of nutmeg

3 teaspoons of cinnamon

(And you also need a little pot to put it in. I recycled an old lush pot)

Instructions-

Add the honey
Add the cinnamon

Add the nutmeg
Mix and voila! Your done!

Ok so I hope you enjoyed that and I hope you give it a try!

Thank you

I'm back!

Where did I go? Why did I come back?

Hi guys! As you know I have not done a blog post in a while considering I was supposed to be doing blogmas (which lets just say was a bit over ambitious) and this was because I wasn't enjoying it.
I found doing a post everyday a chore and I hadn't even hit 100 views! I just thought what was the point of wasting my time on something that nobody even knows about. So that's why I stopped because I felt like I was wasting my time and I was not enjoying it!
Well I have now suddenly decided that I really want to start my blog up again. My friends have given me lots of positive feedback and I have reached over 100 views which seems like nothing compared to major blogs that get 1,000,000 views everyday but it means a lot to me!
So yeah I'm back! However I am not doing blogmas because lets just face it that was a bad idea from the start but I will be blogging over December but just when I feel like it not everyday!
So that's that ! Please forgive me from getting your hopes up! And I just want to say THANK YOU to all the people who do read my blog and please continue to do so!

See you soon!

Christmas day make up

The make up look I have chosen for christmas day!

Hi guys! As you have probably gathered in today's post I will be showing you the make up I will be wearing on Christmas day! I am sooooo excited for christmas and can't wait to wear a nice dress and put on my Christmas day makeup and enjoy christmas.

1. Face
Ok so first i will do my everyday skincare routine (which was on one of my previous posts if you would like to go and look at it) and then I would put my bb cream on. I will use Garnier's miracle skin perfector bb cream and then I will put some collection concealer on my nose, forehead, under my eyes and on little random blemishes. Then I would do my contours using benefits hoola and st tropez's skin illuminator. I will go for quite a red blush and to do this I will use benefits benetint. Then I would just put some clinique powder on my face. My face is done.

2.Eyes
I think I would quite like a red/pink eye this christmas so from Tanya Burr's candy glam palette I will use ballet slippers as a base colour and I will use creme brulee, plumberry and date night in Paris to get the red look. I will then put some of soap and glory's super cat eyeliner (I love this soooo much! It is the best eyeliner ever) on and maybe do a little cat flick if I'm feeling brave! I will then put some of maybelline's lash sensational on my eyes and neaten my eyebrows up with a clear mascara.

3.lips
Well my lips are pretty simple. I'm going for a red lip because christmas isn't complete without a red lip and to do this I will use soap and glory's sexy mother pucker lip lacquer in the colour whatchama-coral.

4.Hair
I will probably just curl my hair and find something glittery to put on it!

Ok so that is my look this christmas. It is a red themed makeup look so hopefully I can find a nice red dress to wear with it.

In my Body Shop advent calender today I got an eyelash curler. I was a bit disappointed to be honest because I never use eyelash curlers and I prefer the body stuff but they are still good for people who would like them. I would probably rate them a 7/10 because they are a bit boring and I probably won't use them but they seem good quality and comfortable so they would be nice for someone who would use them.

Have a nice evening

My christmas list

Dear Santa, this year I would love a...

Hi guys! Today I am going to show you the things that are on my Christmas list this year. They are all really cool products so they might be added to your christmas list aswell! Enjoy!

1.
The first product I would like is the body shops frosted plum lip balm. I just think this sound so cool! I love the frosted plum products this christmas and this just sounds so nice. It may also be purple so it might come out as a nice berry colour on your lips or it might just come out clear but however it looks I'm sure it is really nice. It will also be great for a stocking filler!

2.
I also really like this new christmas Yankee candle. It is soooo cute! It is called snowflake cookie and it is baby pink. I haven't actually smelt it but I can imagine it to smell like cookies and icing and just christmas cookie baking. I also think the little picture on the jar is really cute and pretty. Love this!

3.
The next thing that I really want is the real techniques bold metals collection. These brushes are just so cool! They are soooo soft and I love how the handles go spikey (they are not really spikey I just don't know how to describe it) at the bottom. It also comes with a little matching bag which is really cute! These are so beautiful and a great present. They are also currently on offer in boots for £30.

4.
Next I think that this barry m chisel cheek contour set would be a really nice present. I always see it advertised on the music channel and it just looks so cool. Also I have never tried barry m makeup (however I am obsessed with their nail varnish) so it will be nice to try it out. The only thing is that it looks too dark for me but I would still like it.

5.
The next thing is a soap and glory eye pallette. I think it is called perfect ten or something like that but I saw it when I went shopping the other day and was surprised to see how nice this palette looked. The colours look so pretty and would be really nice for christmas day. It is very warm toned with lots of browns and I think it is just soooo nice. I would be extremely glad if I received this as a gift!

6.
The last thing that I would like is this Clarins lip oil. I saw it on a recent zoella video and it just looked so moisturizing and cool. The little brush looks so soft and I love a good lip balm to give some moisture to my lips in the winter. You can also get a raspberry flavour one with a little pink tint in it which is equally as cool . Soooo cute!

In my Body Shop advent calender today I got a little vitamin e hydrating toner. Omg I love this! It is really hydrating and softening and it goes really nice with the vitamin e mosturiser. I have really oily skin and it makes it look really healthy and doesn't make my face more oily. It is soooo nice and I would rate it a 10/10.

I hope you enjoyed this post

Tinsel, baubles and lights

What have I been up to today

Yes! You guessed it right! Today I put up my Christmas tree. I choose to do a gold theme because I think just one simple colour is better than loads. I love the christmas tree but I hate putting it up because it makes my eyes and nose go funny (sort of like hayfever). Does this happen to anyone else? It is probably just dust!
Anyway here is my finished tree...

In my Body Shop advent calender today I got a Fuji green tea body wash. I like this mainly because I love the body shop body washes but it also smells really nice and fresh. I haven't actually used it yet but I know it will be good! I'm going o rate it an 8/10 and I can't wait to use it!

Thank you

Orange and Cranberry Muffins

Delicious, christmasy muffins

Hello! Today I am going to show you one of my favourite recipes which is for Cranberry and Orange Muffins. These muffins taste so good and I think they are quite festive as well because orange is a christamsy scent and so are cranberries. You can't beat these muffins! They are the best muffins ever! Enjoy!

Orange and Cranberry Muffins

Ingredients-
165g of dried cranberries
60ml of fresh orange juice
280g of plain flour
2tsp of baking powder
115g of unsalted butter
3g of grated orange zest
135g of sugar
2 large eggs
120ml of milk

Method-

Gas mark 5               Makes around 12

Preheat the oven to Gas mark 5
Cream the sugar and butter together until light and fluffy.
Fold the flour and baking powder into the mixture.
Mix in the cranberries and the orange zest.
Mix the egg and milk in a separate cup and add it to the mixture slowly, while mixing at the same time.
Mix in the orange juice and then divide the mixture into 12 cases.
Cook the cakes for approximately 20

.

In my Body Shop calendar today I got a black eye liner pencil. I would rate this a 8/10 mainly because it is just a pencil but it is still quite good. It isn't very interesting or doesn't smell nice or anything so that is why I didn't give it a nine but it is still a very good eyeliner pencil.

Thankyou!

My winter essentials

The top 10 things that you need in winter

Hi guys! First of all I would just like to apologise for not doing a post yesterday even though I said I was going to because I am doing blogmas ! I went out and came home later than I expected and just didn't have time to do a post. I am devastated and very sorry and I would be very happy if you can forgive me! Anyway onto my main subject. Today I will be telling you the top 10 things that you will need to get you through winter. So here we go and enjoy!

1. Winter accessories - you can't survive the coldness of winter without some gloves, a hat and a scarf so that is why they are one of my top 10 winter essentials

2. Wintery makeup - first of all I'm not even sure if wintery is a word but anyway it is now! And I think wintery make up is important because you can wear it to wintery parties and it just looks so nice.

3. Candles- candles are just so nice and warming in the winter times. I love the sweet and spicy christmas scents because they just make me feel soooo happy!

4. Hot water bottles- picture this. Your tired, you've just come back from somewhere but you had to walk all the way home in the rain. You are miserable and cold.  If this was me all I would want to do is snuggle up under a blanket with my hot water bottle and watch something nice on tv like a...

5. Christmas movie- these just make you feel so cheesy and happy and christmasy and that is why you need them to cheer you up when it's cold and rainy outside.

6. Lip balm- I think these are one of the most important things you need in the winter because in the cold and harsh weather your lips get soooo sore and if you do what I did and forget to bring a lip balm with you when you go out your lips will go red and they will hurt

7. Blanket- I love a good, soft blanket or throw in the winter times mainly because they keep you warm but they are also so comfortable and can look really posh if you get  colour that matches your furniture . You can get throws anywhere, I get mine from primark or tesco.

8. Advent calendars- as you know December is in winter and in December you have advent calendars which help you get excited for christmas. I love advent calendars because they actually make you want to get up each morning to open them and I am lucky enough to have 3!!

9 Chocolate- hot chocolate, chocolate spread, chocolate cake, chocolate sauce or just chocolate. Whatever shape or form you just need to have it in winter. Chocolate is much nicer in the winter than in the summer because it doesn't melt by the time you go to eat it!

10. The final thing that you need in winter is obviously a...
Gentle cleanser for your face. Your face becomes less oily in the winter which means you don't need a very harsh cleanser so buy a gentle cleanser and feel how soft and not dry your face feels.

Ok so in my Body Shop advent calender yesterday I got a little vitamin e moisture cream. It is really softening and gentle and nice. I would rate it a 9/10. Today I got a little Shea body butter. It is cute and I think I would rate it an 8/10 just because the smell is not that nice and I just don't find it as interesting as the other products but it is still really nice.

That's it for today! See u tomorrow!!

My daily skincare routine

What I do to my skin in the morning and evening

Hello! Sorry I haven't posted in a long time. I have been quite busy and to be honest I haven't had enough time to edit my blog. However I have decided that I am going to a blog post everyday up to christmas now because... well just because I think it will be fun. I will also show you what I got in my The Body Shop advent calender everyday and do a mini review on the product! Anyway my post is mainly about my everyday skincare routine so ENJOY!!!

1. Cleanse
Ok so firstly I cleanse my face when I wake up in the morning and before I go to bed . To do this I normally use soap and glory's peaches and clean cleanser in the morning and Simple's oil balancing scrub in the evening . However as it is christmas , lately I have been using lush's bûche de Noël.

2. Tone
The next thing I do is tone my face. I do this by spraying my toner onto a cotton wool pad and just wiping it around my face. The toner I use is Lush's tea tree toner. It is amazing!

3.Treatment
The treatment part of your skincare routine is different for everyone but for me the things I need to treat are blemishes and oil. To treat these I use Origins spot remover pads (these are so good and are well worth the money) or Simple's blemish gel.

4.Moisturiser
Then I go onto moisturising my face. Lately I have been using Garnier's oil control vanishing cream as my moisturiser because it helps reduce oil and spots but it does not dry your face out. I also believe you can get this from the pound shop (not sure which one though) so I think anyone with oily skin should go out and buy it now! And it also smells nice.

5.Eyes
The last thing I do is put some eye cream on. I usually use lancome's hydra Zen yeux (I presume thats in french) eye cream or Origins Ginzing cream. They are both really good but I think I prefer the Origins cream because it smells like oranges and ginger. Yum!

My toner

My cleansers
Treatments

My moisturiser
My eye creams

Ok so those are the things I use in my skincare routine everyday and I hope I have shown you some products that you could purchase in the future!

In my Body Shop advent calendar today I got a little frosted cranberry shimmer lotion. It smells soooo nice and it makes a really nice subtle shimmer on your skin. Overall I would give it a 9/10!

Thank you for reading
