My usual makeup routine
Order I do my makeup and some of my favourite products
Hello guys ! Today I thought I'd do a post on what I do in my make up routine and show you some of my favourite products. I usually do this makeup routine when I'm going somewhere fancy but sometimes I wear it if I'm just popping out to the shops. Anyway enjoy!
1. Face
Ok so first of all I would prepare my
face for make up by putting a primer on. I normally use maybelline's baby
skin as it is cheap and does a good job.
After that I would put a tinted moisturiser (or a bb cream, cc cream or foundation) and I usually use this Olay one. Finally I put on a bit of liquid concealer under my eyes and on any red bits. I use collection concealer because it is cheap and cheerful .
2. Contours and blush
After I've done my base I then go onto my contours and blusher. I use benefit's hoola for my bronzer because it is a nice colour for doing your contours. Then I put some highlighter above where I put my bronzer and on other parts of my face that need highlighting. That is my contours done. Once again I use another benefit product called high beam to highlight. Finally I put some blush on and lately I have been using benetint which is another benefit product (wow I sure do love benefit) and it is a liquid tint not a powder blush.
3.Eyes
After I have done my whole face I go onto my eyes. Firstly if I'm going out somewhere nice I put on some eyeshadow. I have really been liking tanya burr's galaxy pallette lately because it has quite dark colours so it is perfect for the autumn and winter months. After my eyeshadow I put some eyeliner on my eyelid. I use soap and glory's supercat because I love the pen bit on it. After I do my eyeliner which is usually just a little catflick (nothing too dramatic) I put on a bit of mascara. My favourite mascara is benefit's they're real because it just makes your eyelashes look really nice. Finally I just tidy up my eyebrows with some miss sporty clear mascara .
4. Lips
My last part of my makeup routine is putting on my lipstick. I usually put some lip balm on first. I use the body shop's watermelon lip balm because it is clear and smells soooo good! After I put lip balm on I either put on some lipstick (which is always loreal paris' 235) or some lip gloss. I really like soap and glory's sexy mother pucker lip lacquer in the colour whatchama-coral.
